Battery Drain

[AC Question]

I noticed my Galaxy S7 Edge battery is draining quicker than usual. I check what's using the battery and there is this process called 10231 with the android logo. Any idea what it is and if I could remove it?

Welcome to the forums! How long have you noticed this process in your battery stats? Usually these 'numbered' processes are temporary and disappear after a full charge or just restarting the phone.

Created a account so I could reply. I believe this happened overnight. I found out because i wonder what drained 40% of my battery and found that application/Process. I am a new android user and have no idea where to begin investigation besides virus checks.

Thanks for registering! I wouldn't worry for now. Full charge and restart your phone and see if that process is still there. There are different possible reasons. Recent system update, temporary glitch in the naming process, some app that you deleted, etc. Not a virus.
