So, I have been switching back and forth between iOS and Android for nearly a year now. The only reason I ever go back to iOS is for iMessage. My whole family and all my friends are on iMessage. Groups still do not work well when coming to my android phone and no one seems to want to download another messaging app...too complicated.

How do other people handle these issues? I want to stick with my 6P but tired of this iMessage issue.

I've never had imessage, so I live without it just fine.
From what I've read, You can fix the group text issue by deregistering yourself from imessage, then everyone you group text with needs to delete all texts that previously included your number when you had imessage.

I've never had iMessage on a device with a phone number. Group texts work fine, even with iOS users. I use Hangouts and can text and message both iOS and Android users without issue.

Welcome to Android Central! Group texts also work fine for me through Hangouts (as my default SMS app). This also includes people who are texting from an iPhone.

I don't live in the US. Thing is Viber is more popular here than iMessage. It already does what iMessage does for videos and pics and group messages since before iMessage existed. So no, never really felt any issue without iMessage.

However on some people they do find MMS works fine.
