Flipping from regular storage to SD?

So this weekend Ill be taking HUGE amounts of HD video and if my phone fills up completely (24bg), will it automatically kick over to the SD (16gb) and start saving on there?

Why not set it up to go straight to sd card on the first place?

Yes, why not? It won't automatically change - it'll just notify you that it's out of space (or, with some video apps, it just won't save the video, and it won't notify you).
