Nova Launcher Free won't switch orientation

[AC Question]

I have NL on 2 devices, a Samsung S5 and a Lenovo Tab 2 A10-7F. Having tired of keeping icons in the same windows on both, I had the bright idea of backing up NL on my S5 and restoring it on the Tab 2. That went well - all the icon windows now match except... NL refuses to switch from landscape. Every single other app switches fine, except NL. What's especially galling is that the S5 was in portrait - as it always is!!

I read somewhere that NL can be picky about switching orientation if the device's wallpaper can't be switched/cropped/scaled/whatever but I've eliminated that.

I'm loath to uninstall and reinstall as I've had varied results doing that with other apps. I'm hoping that there's a configuration file somewhere that can be tweaked, as there's nothing obvious in any branch of the 'Settings' menu.

Look through the Nova Desktop options - you'll notice that there's nothing there about rotation - because the desktop doesn't rotate.

Try in Nova settings - Look & feel - screen orientation. Not sure if this option is only available in the Prime version.
