sidebar one note 3 lost its half circle tab (with arrow ) after auto firm ware update.

[AC Question]

I bought a new Samsung galaxy note 3 and the half round tab on my sidebar which I could hold and move the tray from left side to the right is gone after auto firmware update. Now I have to hold the back arrow for few seconds to make the tray to appear from the right side only. It's not as convenient and as quick as simply pressing that round tab on the side bar which is no longer there. I hoping I don't have go back to the older firmware by doing a factory reset. Thanks in advance for your help.
