Need recommendations on a cheap replacement phone (no contract, no prepaid)

Nexus 6 water damage, it's toast. I don't have a backup phone. I have an AT&T plan but have not been on contract for some time since I don't buy phones through them. I could just buy another Nexus 6 but since we are so close to the new Nexus 2016 I figure I should just hold out for it. Can you recommend any ~$100 phones I could get on ebay or something that could hold me over for a short time? Thanks for any help.

edit: can i buy an at&t gophone for like $30 at best buy and just put my current SIM card in there?

I don't have any personal experience with them but it's in the price range, has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of storage. As a short term replacement, the Moto E is also an option at $120 (for the 3G GSM version) but that will have VERY limited storage.

Next option, look on Swappa for someone selling their old phone.
