Hi, I bought the tablet in august 2014, which makes it almost two years old. The battery was working well - it gave about 8-10 hours on my regular use, which comprises of browsing, watching YouTube videos, and reading files I save in the folder. However, since last few months battery charge declines rapidly and it hardly works for more than 3-4 hours, even less perhaps, with my regular usage. Is this normal? Will changing the battery help and is the battery changeable? I have tried resetting the software but it didn't help. The device was rooted soon after I bought it so i a assuming that is not the reason. Anyway, I tried to unroot it but the Super SU didn’t work due to an error. I would be grateful for any advise. Thanks a lot in advance. Suman, Nepal

For a 2 year old device yes. Battery capacity starts deteriorating after 12-18mos of use. You can have the battery replaced and it should work fine.

8-10 hours of use says that you used the battery until it was almost dead before recharging it - that leads to early failure. (12-18 months is for a mistreated battery - my Motorola V-551 battery is still going strong, after 11 years of proper handling.)

Have the battery replaced - and don't let it discharge to less than 40%.
