If the phone is currently connected to the internet, you can try resetting the password using Samsung Find My Mobile or Android Device Manager, both will be accessed through a PC browser by logging into the Samsung account or Google account used on the device.

If the phone doesn't have an internet connection and you guys have no way of connecting it, and you can't remember the password, you guys will just have to say goodbye to everything saved on the phone and factory reset it.

By the way, you need the password of the Google account you used on the phone. Because of FRP, you can't get into a factory resetted phone without entering the password of the last Gmail account used on it.
