SIM-unlock the phone (you can get the unlock code in about a week or two from your carrier). Put the SIM from another carrier into your phone. If (and it's a big if) the phone has the frequencies the other carrier uses, that's it - it'll work. (If it doesn't, there's nothing you can do - it won't work. Since the only LTE band the phone has is 700MHz, forget 4G. It may be able to do 3G in some places, but not most. You'll probably be limited to voice, text and EDGE data.)

(The phone is 3 years old - it wasn't designed to be a "world phone".)
