what do I do if my phone won't power on

my phone shut off randomly and wont turn back on unless I remove the battery and when I reinsert the battery it vibrates, turns on for a sec and then shuts off again. how can I fix this?

What make / model do you have? Since you have a removeable battery do you have a spare battery you can try? Do you have an external battery charger? Will you phone allow you to charge it with current battery?
