How do I get my phone to charge after being in water for 5 seconds?

I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in the sink and pulled it straight out after about 5 seconds. Everything works fine except the it is a little difficult for others to hear me over the phone. My main concern is that it will not charge. I have put it in rice for about 2 hours and blow-dryed the end where the charging hole and the microphone are and still nothing. I have tried using different charging wires, wall adapters and computer USB ports. I thought it was waterproof for up to 30 minutes, so why am I unable to charge my phone?

There may be some water or impact damage. You may want to contact the manufacturer's customer support for advice on how best to proceed. Note that if there is water damage, it tends to be progressive.
