Why did I get a call from myself?

I got a call this afternoon. By the time got to the phone and answered, a voice already was speaking, saying something about a Social Security number. When I looked at the calling number, it was my phone's number and was attached to my name. Too late to call Verizon store, so am seeking help here.

You should be able to call Verizon's customer service number
