I need to free some memory space so my email will quit saying
"Not enough space in storage device, delete some files etc.
I have 8 one-hour lectures recorded. Are they the culprits to using too much memory?

Welcome to Android Central! You may be right. Which phone do you have? Use a file manager app to look through all of the directories that you can. Focus on the /Media directory, as well as subdirectories of the /Android and /data directories. It's possible, though that the recordings might be saved to a protected system directory. You should be able to delete the recordings from the voice recorder app, but if you want to copy them somewhere and they're in a protected system directory, that might be hard.
