Is there a way to simplify managing photos on Droid Turbo?

I take a ton of pictures and they both go to Gallery and Google photos. Google photos is linked to my camera app. Say I decide to delete the bad ones from Google, and then want to send a message (message + app) the photos are linked to Gallery and then I have to wade through all the bad ones again. But if I delete from Gallery they don't delete from Google. Just wondering if there is any way to simplify the process or link the two up?

Go into Settings > Apps Locate the Gallery app in the list and tap it. Find the "defaults" section and clear the defaults. Next time you go to send a message with a picture, it should ask you what app you want to use for processing that request.
