Smart Manager interaction with Doze

A

AC Question

I'm using a Galaxy Note 5 on T-Mobile and when the Marshmallow update came for it in April I assumed that the Smart Manager that Samsung uses to stop apps from running in the background would go away. It hasn't, and I'm curious as to how it interacts with Doze. Do they compete against each other, is Doze even on my phone, do they perform different functions, or something else entirely?

Hi, they perform different tasks - Doze preserves your battery when you don't use the phone for a long period of time, if it isn't on charge. I.e. overnight. The Smart Manager is just a way to clean up your phone and free some space up.
