My Samsung galaxy s7 edge is having an odd issue that I can't seem to find other reports for.
When text messaging swaps to chat the person i'm messaging gets the message from a different number. And if they reply to it, the owner of that other number gets the reply and not me!
Just rang my network provider and they said its a known issue and to just take the phone into a shop and swap it... but I can't find evidence of it being a known fault anywhere and if I take it into a shop and set the new one up and it does the same thing i'd have just wasted time and effort.
Is this actually a known fault? And are there settings to change it? I've worked with mobiles for 5+ years and can't seem to get to the bottom of it myself!
