How can I fix my Samsung Galaxy 5 screen that is black?

I dropped my phone and the screen was different colors and full of static. Now it is all black. Phone still rings and alerts me to text messages but I can't use it because I can't see anything. I have already removed the battery and held the power button for two minutes. How can I fix it?
