Why is google services draining my battery?

Google services is using 60% of my battery at any given time. I turned off the backround data and that didnt seem to help. Only new apps I noticed are Verizon Login, My InfoZone and Verizon_Location Agent but I doubt those have anything to do with Google. Any suggestions?

Make sure that location-reporting is not set to high accuracy, unless of course, you want it to be.
There may be other factors, so get back to us if the problem persists.

Welcome to Android Central! It's important to note that other apps may utilize Google Services--so the increased battery use by Google Services might actually be due to one of these apps you installed. Try uninstalling them and see what happens.
