i could unlock it with my finger print now it must be unlocked with my backup password. Why and is there a way to eliminate this and go back to just using my finger print, without a factory reset?also it puts a SD card symbol in the notification bar which i'm afraid i might at some time accidentally format it in my opinion the upgrade sucks

You will still be able to unlock it with your fingerprint unless you switch it off which then needs the password. It is a security feature and can't be eliminated. A factory reset would achieve nothing. You have a new OS and a reset would just revert to that. Flashing a previous Android version may be possible.
