Samsung repair replacing mother board, good or bad?

A

AC Question

So I sent in my Note 5 due to a faulty headphone port thinking it would be fixed from the warranty, but since it had physical damage of a broken camera lens from falling, it was out of warranty, but they said they would fix the lens, headphone port, and give me a new S pen for $71. So hell yeah, good deal. But now i find out that they replaced the LCD with no charge and are waiting on a new motherboard for the phone as well. I am not sure what this all means and if it is good or bad? It doesn't seem like they're going to make me pay for all this since they've already done it without my approval. I am basically getting a new phone, right? Thanks!
