I saw a POTENTIAL post about Android creating new Emojis for people of color dating back to 2014. (Back then, Diversified Emojis were only PROPOSED)

It's 2016, and I need to know why I need an external App to add Black Emojis to my texting options. What is taking so long, and when can we see some progress on this issue? (I have a Galaxy Note 4, and Samsung says it only provides the platform for the phone. Google can add 'color' to Android updates at any time, according to Samsung!) I also believe that Google HQ has about a 2% population of African Americans working for them - so that may explain the 'lack of progress' - on both fronts!

    BLACK EMOJIS MATTER, TOO!

Hello. Google seem to have it in hand come the release of the next Android version, codenamed N.

Probably more of a technical issue, idk for sure.

Not making light of your concern, but I'm a balding white guy, and none of those ugly yellow blobs look like me
