Is the Galaxy Note 5 touch screen generally more sensitive than the touch screens on other devices?

AC Question

I've noticed with my Galaxy Note 5 that it is sometimes possible for the screen to register a touch when my thumb moves close enough to the screen, at about 1-2 mm away. This isn't a major inconvenience but it bothers me that it happens sometimes. I've also noticed this happens with other Samsung devices on display at carrier stores, and I just want to be sure that my device isn't a defective unit.

So, are Samsung touch screens simply more sensitive?

Well there is a setting for a more sensitive screen so you can use it with gloves. Also the note registers the pen when it's close to the screen so that may be another factor into thinking that it does.
