my samsung galaxy tab a is frozen on the samsung startup logo i've tried everything

please help me i got this for my birthday can i wait till the battery dies what do i do when the battery dies i've tried waiting till the battery dies.i have tried the power and volume down. PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi, when you say you have tried everything have you tried the combination to boot the device in to recovery mode? letting the battery drain won't solve the issue. Find out who bought the tablet for your birthday and see if they can return it for a new one.
