Why is my screen frozen on LG Life's Good? Is it because I over charged it last night?

I am in Europe and was charging my phone when I went to sleep. When I awoke, it was very hot and the screen frozen on the LG Life's Good Logo- Powered by Android logo. I can not turn the phone off or reboot it. It is still warm. What should I do?

How long are you holding the power button? Hold it for a while and see what happens. When a phone is charged, it should stop "charging" while plugged in, so to speak, so I am unsure if the overheating is due to staying in the charger. It stops at 100% and no more charging occurs.

If all else fails, contact LG's website for customer service assistance. They are usually very prompt in responding.
