My HTC one turned off and now it keeps restarting over and over again

I charged my HTC One 801e last night and after it fully charged I used it for about 10 minutes and it started restarting over and over again. I let the battery drain overnight and this morning I tried charging my HTC and the red light would not even come up, instead when I plug it in to charge it continues restarting over and over again. I've tried letting it charge for a while the unplugging it and pressing the power button and the volume button simultaneously to go to reboot and power off, but it will not let me finish the command. I've had the HTC for about 4 years now and the self rebooting thing has happened twice before but they were never has serious as it is now.

Hi, it could be that your phone has past its life cycle, 4 years is pretty old in tech world. What were you doing with the phone prior to it failing?
