Note 4 Problem with lock screen

I have just changed my lock screen method from fingerprint to PIN code. When I want to unlock my phone it should ask for the PIN code but it but it doesn't,I can only swipe the screen to unlock it, also I can't do any action that requires to enter my PIN code because every time when I type it in it doesn't want to accept it. I tried to do the hard factory reset but when I get into boot mode it says that I need to download custom OS but it may damage my device critically, when I chose to continue the phone starts downloading but never finishes with it. I recently updated my Note 4 to Marshamllow.

Perform a Cache Partition wipe and tell us whether that helps.
