I have last years MacBook Pro 15 inch retina display, and an LG G5 phone. I'm using the original USB cable and my phone is USB debugging enabled and set to file transfer. I was able to transfer photos from my phone to my computer, so I know it should work. I have Android File Transfer downloaded, but when I plug in my phone it doesn't show on my computer. File Transfer says, "Please connect your Android device with a USB cable to get started." What do I do?

Ok so you PTP enabled. Did you change it to MTP on phone to transfer files?
