I have been using the fringerprint option on my samsung galaxy s5

and it has suddenly gone away asking for my emergency password. I only use a few select passwords and none of them are working. How can i get back into my phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain you're entering the backup password that you created when setting up the fingerprint unlock? It's probably different from your usual password, and it's always important to remember this password, since the scanner is not foolproof.
