I dropped my phone in water and long story short I was able to get it to work again. I powered it on this morning and the proximity sensor, light sensor, and accelerometer all don't work. It doesn't register anything at all. I installed a sensor test app and all my sensors are stuck at 0. I tried a factory reset with no luck. I also tried hitting the phone against my hand as some people suggested to get the accelerometer working to no avail. What should I do? And why would water break just the sensors? The screen, the sound, and the vibration all work. Any help?

The same thing happened to me to but I put my phone in water intentionally. I put it in dry rice overnight and all my sensors worked again. I'd recommend to have your phone in the rice for a few days though. You wouldn't want to risk your device.

    Hope this helped

With water damage it's impossible to tell what parts of the device will be impacted and when they will be impacted. As suggest above, put it in a bag of rice for a few days to try drain out the water - but if you're already experiencing issues, it doesn't look too promising for your device.
