I have about 2,400 songs on my SD Card but the best I've been able to get is an App that recognizes 1,470 of my songs. I've 'Scanned Media' several times, but all I get is 1,470.

I haven't tried that one yet. Have you? If so, how many songs do you have.

Just asking because it's really a pain in the *** to make my playlists and transfer them over to the card only to find out it doesn't work.

That's because only 1,470 of them are file types that media scan recognizes. When someone comes out with a file ending in ".mus", your scanner won't recognize them either.

(You can't replace media scanner, all you can do is make sure you have an app that plays that kind of file, then run the music file and hope it picks the right app to play it.)

Some of the songs show up sometimes and at other times they won't. It almost seems random. I think (though it could be coincidence) that the songs I add to the card first show up on the music player app. Doesn't matter which songs, the app just shows the songs I add first.

It may be a problem with my card. When I added 2,400 songs, 1,470 came up on the app, so I thought the app would only read 1,470 songs. Then I put my card in with only about 1,400 songs and the app only read 1,100 songs. It's weird because I know the songs can be read by the app but if I put too many songs on my card some will go unread even if I've been able to add them before.
