I just got an unlocked at&t phone off of amazon. Can I update the software still?

In searching online I see the google now home button issue has been a pain with at&t issues. I have downloaded Swipe Up Utility which seems to be the only solution, and I have left the battery out for an hour (didn't work). Thanks in advance, I'd really like to get the most updated version of the s5. I'm using straight talk now which doesn't offer phone updates

You can take it to Samsung inside best buy to update.
