I was listening to music in the shower. Then my phone, moto x pure edition, slipped from its perch, and fell into the bottom of the shower/tub combo I have. In was a few inches of water and it was only there for maybe 2 seconds. The fall was about 3-4 feet without a case on. I went and I met it charge for a little while, and it is no longer turbocharging. I have let it sit in rice for a few minutes, and then cleaned rice out of the charge port. I have an app that reads the charging statistics, ampere, and it is saying it is just normal charging. My charge port has been somewhat of an issue the past month or so and only taking charge if the charger was at certain angles. And as I right this, my phone is connected to my turbocharger, 30 watt, and it is slowly loosing battery. Please help in anyway you can. Thank you

No offense intended but it seriously surprises me how often people put a $300+ device at risk of damage by INTENTIONALLY exposing it to water. I get that some devices are advertised as waterproof but I'd consider it a bigger safety margin rather than an invitation to place it on a shelf in the shower or go swimming in the pool with it. According to one review I scanned, the Moto X Pure was more of a "splash resistant" situation compared to what the Moto G is capable of so your phone's dip in the bathtub sounds like it's outside the expected splash threshold.

Your phone got wet, water and electronics don't often mix in good ways.

I suggest a browse of the following thread:

Sounds like there was definitely water damage. I'm not sure if that can be repaired.
