I download my pictures into my PC a couple times a year. For some reason my PC won't recognize that I have 500+ pics on my phone. Anyone know why this would happen?

You don't mention which Samsung phone you're using, or which Android version. Your phone needs to be in "file transfer" mode when you plug it in via usb to your pc.

    1. Connect device to pc via usb.
    2. Pull down the notification shade.
    3. You should see a notification labeled "usb charging".
    4. Tap on the notification and select "photo transfer" and it should start the process.
    5. If for some reason the photo transfer option isn't an option, you can select the "file transfer" option and navigate to the dcim folder to manually transfer the photos.
