HTC One Max has issues with mms and sms

This phone is Verizon GSM unlocked and activated on AT&T network. I am in the St. Louis, Mo area. I get a text with picture attached and it has to be downloaded but the download won't happen.

Because it probably still has the Verizon Access Point Name set in it - it needs the AT&T Access Point Name. Bring it to AT&T and ask them to set it up properly.
