I need help. my htc smartphone wont turn on or charge. what happend?

the model is htc desire 610. the serial number is 3FXA148B4019. There were a few problems on the inside. I got it for Christmas, and it shut down in the middle of June. I was using a charger for an LG smartphone after Penn, (our kitten) played with it, and it broke. my sister Sarah was using it for her La Pan tablet.

Either the charger or the phone is bad. Take it to a repair shop to find out which. (If they plug a known-good charger into it and it charges, your charger is bad. If not, your phone is bad.)
