Lg g5 virus?

[AC Question]

I was trying to find a certain instagram account on google and the results gave me many sites similar to IG. I had never heard of them. However, I clicked on one of the sites and immediately get the notification from google that I have a virus. I checked it with avast but it cant find anything. I know nothing about how viruses work. Is it possible that I have a virus? What to do?

Welcome to the forums. It was probably a pop up, that had no truth to it whatsoever. I would clear out the browser cache and see if that clears it.
