App to identify missing shortcuts / icons?

[AC Question]

Every now and again I find an application on my tablet I have forgotten about and that is usually because the icon / shortcut has gone missing from one of the home screens.

I'm not sure why it happens, I've certainly seen it after updates I have a feeling accidents might happen (particularly on those days my son gets near it).

So I am wondering if anyone has encountered an app that can identify applications that don't have a shortcut/icon on a home page?

Hi Chris,

I'm not sure such an app exists, however maybe it would be worth while changing the way you look at the device. Instead of using short cuts on the homescreen, use the app drawer where all your apps are stored - these can usually be sorted by alphabetical order or download order (i.e. recently downloaded goes to the back)

When my wife got her first smartphone, she would accidentally move app short cuts and couldn't find them.
I installed Nova Launcher and locked all apps in place.
