Recommendation for reminder app

[AC Question]

I'm new to smart phones in general & android apps specifically. So please bear with me if I don't use the right terminology.
I'm looking for an app to give me repeatable reminder notifications on my samsung galaxy s5. I'd like a changeable sound & a "popup" that will not disappear. I don't want these to clutter Google's or other calendar apps where I store "big/important" stuff.
For instance,
• "go to Bob's" next thursday at (or after) 2pm
• Take a vitamin every morning
o If I set 7am, but sleep 'til 9am, I still want to see the reminder (until I "release it") w/o having to remember to search. If I could remember to search, I could remember to take the vitamin.
