"Insufficient memory" actually means "insufficient storage" - in internal memory. You can put 512GB of external "memory" on a phone - but still have insufficient internalstorage to install new apps.

Rubkat is correct. You need to make more room in your internal storage. One way to do this, is to move some of your apps to the SD card. Go into Settings -> Storage, and then select "Phone storage" (this is the internal memory of your phone, not the SD card you installed). You should see a list of all the different items that are stored in memory listed by category. For many users, the "Apps" category is one of the larger categories. This is where all of your apps are stored. Select this category, and you should get a list of all of your apps, and how much storage space each one uses. You can begin clicking on the largest apps first, and when you select an app, you will be able to tell whether it is stored on in internal memory or on your SD card. You should also get an option to move that app to the SD card. Note that not all apps let you do this. It is up to the app developer to design the app to be movable in the first place. And when you do move an app, likely only part of it will actually move. But, if you do this to a number of apps, it might help.

Another area you can check are your media files, like pictures, videos and music. These can add up very quickly. One long video taken in HD format can sometimes be the one thing causing the problem. If you can get these moved over to the SD card, that helps too.
