im using galaxy note 3 from at&t but now i'm in the philippines so the sim network i am using is (obviously) changed. I want to update my os to marshmallow but when they keep checking the at&t service it says my os is up to date. is there another way to update without going thru at&t's service?

Welcome to the forums. With AT&T devices you need an AT&T SIM card in to check for updates. However, the Note 3 is probably as up to date as it will get without rooting and flashing a custom ROM.

    Welcome to AC!
Well it's already up to date. AT&T needs to configure the stock firmware and you'll have it in some time. But i don't think Note 3 will get Marshmallow.
