Hello, a friend's asus zenfone max(z010d) arrived yesterday, and the screen appears to be damaged(img below). The distortion does not appear in 'print-screens' from inside the phone so it's a hardware problem. My question is, is anyone familiar with this kind of problem and what the cause might be?

    Welcome to AC!
The LCD/OLED/IPS screen is broken in that part or altered. Try changing it with another one from your local store.
