Why is google maps not giving me my route?

Just a few weeks ago Gmaps was working well. Now, I can put in an address, find a location, but as soon as I hit the route button, it just loads and finally says, "Not connected, try again in a few minutes". My wifi is on and working fine. I've tried reloading, I've cleared my cached data... Not sure if that has something to with it?

If you read the forum, you'll see a lot of Google apps posts lately. Seems Google updates are messing things up a bit... especially since MM. Google Maps updates have also been suspected of causing issues. You might uninstall the maps update... and possibly the Play Services update and see if it helps. Also, are the versions of your Google apps the same as your wife's?
