Can I bypass the T-Mobile app's SIM confirmation?

Hey guys,
I got really curious about T-Mobile's free Pokemon Go data, and thought it would be very useful. I've downloaded T-Mobile's app, and have gotten all the way to the part where you have to insert a T-Mobile SIM card into your phone. As I am far away from any stores, can I bypass this with the SIM I have right now, or are there any other ways I can get free data for Pokemon Go? Thanks.

So, do you or don't you have T-Mobile service. If you had T-Mobile service you wouldn't have such a problem.
