Nexus 7 (2013) speaker popping in and out fix?

My Nexus 7 (13) has recently had a problem with the 'top' speaker. It will often suddenly stop working (during audio playback) meaning I get audio just from the bottom speaker.
I have found giving the bezel by the speaker a squeeze will often bring it back to life! (Sometimes for a short while, sometimes only whilst I'm squeezing).
I presume this could be a connection issue? but have noticed the overall sound seems worse these days, even when both speakers work.

Any suggestions before I open it up/buy parts?

Hi - best bet is to open it up and replace some parts, or take it to a professional and have them do it. It sounds like a hardware issue, probably caused by usual wear and tear.
