Why Won't My Phone Factory Restore

[AC Question]

I'm running a phone on KitKat, I'm not sure what phone it is, but the build number is KOT49L, so it's one of those 3 phones. My problem isn't with starting the Factory Restore, that goes just fine, but after it starts, my phone will go onto a black screen, and won't do anything even if I leave it for a good 3-4 hours. I know it isn't turned off because there is a light coming from the screen too. I've attempted using both ways of Factory Restoring, through the settings, and the way where you hold the volume down button and power button at the same time. Both do the same thing and leave me with a blank screen that doesn't go away until I reboot the phone, and when I do reboot the phone nothing has changed. I also can't use many apps on my phone as they crash seconds after opening so I hope someone can respond quick.
