Apps installed on my sd card have disappeared from the home screen and from the app drawer

When I started the phone after it died due to battery loss all apps installed on the sd card have disappeared from the home screen and the app drawer. The apps doesn't return after several restarts. I can find the apps if I look in settings > apps and in the play butik. If I move the apps from the sd card and then restart they will appear again. Is there any way to fix this or should I buy a new sd card?

Replacing the SD cad won't help. Apps are not designed to be moved to SD card so you will always encounter this problem
