Few questions here. can someone help me understand.. Story goes like this. I bought a used LG G4 from an unknown guy but turns out that the phone was blacklisted. So i brought the phone to a repair shop and he changed the IMEI in it for me in order to work . it is currently on 6.0 but i want to install version 6.0.1, but when i go to settings to check for update it says (Your phone is not registered yet.) what does it mean ?
Will i be able to get the update OTA at some point ?
Is my phone considered Rooted if the IMEI has been changed ?
and if Rooted does this mean that i will never be able to get OTA updates?
I'm with Rogers and they have been pushing out 6.0.1 since 2 or 3 days ago.
What are my options here?
