Hello, I recently went to the beach and forgot my phone was in my pocket. I got some water on my phone and when I checked on it, it gave me a message that my phone was overheating so it had to shut down. I waited a couple hours before turning it back on, and the charging stopped working. I put it in a bag of rice hoping for the best, but still nothing worked. After a day or two my charging worked again but only regular charging, not fast charging. I have tried the same charger on other phones, and fast charging works. Is there perhaps a hardware issue with my phone? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If I had to guess, I would say the overheat message was probably due to rapid drain on the battery due to water shorting something out. I would think that yes, your phone more than probably has a hardware issue now.
