Evidently not asking question clearly. I know Chrome apps are available, but I want android apps, which are now being available through Android Play Store on certain chromebooks, with more planned in the future, but not for my, too old, C7. So, what | need to know if I can install Android OS on my Acer C7 so I can have access to any android app might want. If so, how?

Have you tried mirroring through wifif or bluetooth to view you phone display on the laptop.
Samsung has a program called Sidesync which I believe will not only do bluetooth (I think) but USB cable also.
This will allow you to actually operate you device from the laptop. This includes talking on the phone while working on the device, if your device supports multitasking.
