I just recently switched from a Nokia Windows Phone to a Samsung Galaxy S7 phone on AT&T's network. I noticed that I was missing text messages from not just one, but multiple people. What was interesting was I could communicate with shorter texts, but when two people tried to send the exact same longer (probably over the character limit for one message) message, I wouldn't receive it from either of them. Tried this with a third person to confirm that longer messages would not be received by me.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? I am new to android so I'm not sure if there is a setting or something that I am missing. I have nothing on any of my block lists.

Hi, speak to AT&T as they might need to enable the MMS feature on your phone. It sounds like the SMS messages are exceeding the limit and are converting to MMS.
